Meet the Doctors Behind Smile Cabarrus

At Smile Cabarrus, you'll be cared for by Dr. Reid Chaney and Dr. Lauren Mauban, two doctors who bring different backgrounds and expertise to the practice but share the same patient-first approach to care.

Dr. Chaney has deep roots in Cabarrus County. Originally from Kannapolis, he knew from a young age that he wanted to work in the medical field, and after shadowing local dentists in high school, dentistry became his focus. He earned a BA in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2007 before returning to the area where he grew up to practice. He is a member of the NCDS and ADA, part of the American Academy of Clear Aligners, Invisalign certified, and has additional training in implantology, All-on-Four implants, and Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Lauren Mauban brings energy, advanced training, and a genuine love of dentistry to the Smile Cabarrus team. Raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health.
